Mansion Poker review
Mansion Poker was one of the few standalone poker operations which had no big brother to answer to until not so long ago. These days, the site is hosted by the iPoker network, and sure enough, the network established rules are already in effect at Mansion. The poker room does not accept US players (it didn’t accept them in the past either, as it took the 2006 UIGEA extremely seriously and forbade the access of US traffic almost immediately in its wake).
There are upsides too to belonging to an online poker network. Mansion Poker gained access to the iPoker’s huge player base, not to mention all the promotions, tournaments and live event qualifiers offered by one of the most popular poker networks in the industry.
Mansion Poker also got to use the battle tested iPoker software, one of the most stable and best looking online poker platforms ever created.
The graphics featured by Mansion Poker are good. They’re a tad repetitive but ok overall. The sounds are a tad annoying and there’s one thing that truly gets to you if you play there for a long time: the extremely generous nature of the countdown timer, which slows the games to a crawl despite the fact that the software could handle speed without problems otherwise.
A 4-clor deck option is available, and so is multi tabling, and note taking on opponents. An extremely nifty unique feature is the graphical hand history which is an excellent personal assistant type of thing, as well as a handy learning tool.
